Del Pilar Ollantaytambo

Pros: Friendly staff and good food and cocktails in the restaurant. Great mountain view from hotel. And there are two very very cute and photogenic Alpaca in the property. We booked the bungalow. It was fantastic for family of four. Two floors with two bedrooms (one bedroom with 1 large double bed and another bedroom with 2 double beds). And there are two bathrooms with bathtub. Great value for money. Hotel provides airport pickup service from Cusco with reasonable price. Hotel is outside of ollantaytambo (15 to 20 min drive). Hotel provides taxi service back and forth to ollantaytambo. Hotel provides also drive service, if you want to see moray, maras and chinchero. It would be perfect if the hotel WiFi is more stable. :-)

Pros: My families and I stayed one night on Nov. 30. Christian was really helpful for everything. The water in the room is not hot enough, he helped us change the room, moved the luggage, and fixed some room facilities. Katherine was also a great receptionist. She helped us with the delayed check out and other details. It was really good stay here with their help.

Wonderful

Pros: This hotel is amazing and the staff are wonderful Audrey, Irvin and Eric are divine and I have nothing but praise for their exceptional service. A rare gem in a wonderful country. I will come back to this unique place and these beautiful people. In addition the breakfast is outstanding and the restaurant Michelin star quality. Just excellent !

Cons: Can’t fault a thing except the Alpacas wouldn’t let me cuddle them 😀

Great relaxing stay

Pros: Comfortable and clean, a great place to relax after long days exploring Cusco. Amazing shower and nice bathroom as well.

Cons: Breakfast was limited in choice, can improve

Pros: Gorgeous views from the room. There is a great playground for kids complete with hammocs where exhausted parents can relax😄 Llamas roam freely around the hotel. Location is good, not too far from Ollantaytambo (maximum 15-20 minutes drive)

Cons: No food outside of breakfast or dinner hours. Maybe you can try preordering it, but availability is not guaranteed. The bar was open though

I'm glad I chose it for my stay in Ollantaytambo, it was so peaceful and nice

Pros: The property is very beautiful, surrounded by mountains. The staff spreaks English, and they will go out of their way to help you. The food was also nice.

Cons: The location has it's pros and cons, it's out of the town so you need to take taxis and the prices can go crazy. Also the train is super close and it can be a bit loud but that's not the property's fault.

What a gem

Pros: What a great find. After being disrupted by the Peru transport strike and hectic last minute arrangements to get out of Cusco finding this gem was terrific. Next trip to Peru I'll added this town and hotel as a destination.

Excellent location with limited food options

Pros: Location of the property is excellent, nice property surrounded by beautiful mountains and snow peaks, rooms are nice and clean

Cons: It’s not a lot to do in the property apart from relaxing as this is about 35 minutes drive away from the main plaza, food choice and drinks choice very limited considering it’s 4 star and that doesn’t reflect the price you pay as we didn’t have much choice either eat there or go out as taxi service is very limited

Beautiful hotel, friendly and helpful staff in a stunning location

Pros: The hotel is in a beautiful setting- the view from the rooms is stunning. The rooms themselves are very comfortable and there is lots of calm outside space to relax. Everyone was friendly and helpful. They helped us to arrange trips into the surrounding area and made great recommendations for what to do. The food in the restaurant is also good. I can’t fault anything about our stay.,

Great location, peaceful and idyllic.

Pros: Loved the location and facilities here. The staff were super helpful, especially when we needed a taxi to get from the hotel to Ollantaytambo station and there was a landslide - we got to the station with time to spare. Great games and activities in the shared spaces too.

Cons: The hotel was quite difficult to get to if you didn't use the shuttle service that you could get from the hotel. Further from Ollantaytambo than I thought.
