An unforgettable stay

Pros: Belmond Monasterio in Cusco is truly magical — staying in a beautifully preserved former monastery right in the heart of the city feels both peaceful and special. The atmosphere, service, and sense of history make it an unforgettable experience.

Cons: Misinformation on arrival regarding restaurants upon arrival.

Amazing!

Pros: Amazing hotel, really fantastic location, great rooms, warm courtyards... the place is really huge! Fantastic breakfast... rooms are well equipped with pillows, amenities and kitchen gadgets... nepresso capsules, fantastic tea...

Cons: Place like this should have nice spa center. I can understand that swimming pool is tough to place here, but spa center would take couple of rooms out of equation, but it would give more style to this amazing hotel.

Luxurious jump in time

Pros: Beyond amazing. I loved this hotel in every way. The spacious room, the architecture and the service. You will have an amazing time there. The concierge Roger helped us planned all the activities and restaurants during our 4 days stay, he was perfect. The building is gorgeous and worth visiting. I will come back one day for sure! I definitely recommend !

Cons: I loved everything

Pros: The staff were incredibly helpful and on two occasions were able to help with two very specific requests and this really impressed us. The setting was beautiful. I loved the sensitive repurposing of a monastry into a hotel - there were so many thoughtful touches such as the music in the mornings. The Breakfast was the best hotel breakfasts we can remember with the range of peruvian treats. There was an incredibly enthusiastic chef who would describe a lot of the exotic fruits on offer. His enthusiasm was infectious and we made sure we tried it all. The art tour followed by the cocktail sampling, the coffee sampling were also highlights. The signature cocktails were well devised cocktails that adapted classics into Peruvian versions. The live music in the bar, the amazing massages we had, the food in Oqre restuarant we really enjoyed.

Cons: A few things let side down for us. The first was not having a gym on site. With their sister hotel next door and the size of the place I don't understand why there wasn't one gym between the two sites. The quality of the food in their other resturant El Tupay by contrast to Oqre was a big disappointment for a 5 star hotel as was the Opera Dinner experience. I hope it was just the night we went which had a Quechan focus to the music. On paper it sounded really interesting but in the end the event felt very sombre and academic. The whole evening was too formal, staid and lacked atmosphere which shouldn't be the case for an opera dinner which should be thrilling and exciting. No fault of the musicians and singers who were very good. It's a great idea and I hope that their classic opera nights are much more fun. These two factors are why I didn't score a 10.

Gorgeous property with top notch customer service

Pros: Stunning property, extremely well located with top notch customer service. We had an issue with our return flight (Latam is an extremely unreliable airline - be warned! - they cancel flights with little notice!) and the concierge, Lucas, went above and beyond in sorting us out on another flight. Special shout out to him - incredibly attentive and helpful!

Cons: Rooms and bathrooms slightly outdated and noisy

I adored the small touches, the beauty, and the history.

Pros: The breakfast was unbelievable!!!! So many options, and we LOVED the local ingredients displayed and to taste. and on top of the buffet, there were delicious a la carte options! I spent both morning at the breakfast area for a few hours, contemplating the view of the courtyard. We LOVED the art tour by Maribel.

Cons: Honestly, this is a very small detail but the lighting system upstairs in our suite drove us crazy. the fact that one button by the bed turned on the bathroom light/fan AND both bedside lights was not a good idea. I turned it all back to manual (ie, turning on the bedside light with the switch on the lamp and turning on bathroom light when needed)

Beautiful property

Pros: The property is beautiful. Hard to imagine anything like it in the city.

Cons: Acoustic isolation between rooms is poor. Shower curtain does not stop the water properly.

A wonderful place to stay !!

Pros: The staff were wonderful. Helped us book things especially Roger who went out of his way to assist us.

Cons: Nothing - it was excellent !!
