Amazing hotel, amazing staff

Pros: The hotel is an amazing location but the thing that sets it truly apart is the staff. They are amazing, always wanting to help and do anything they can to make your stay as comfortable and stress free as possible.

A memorable stay

Pros: Very attentive and helpful staff, special mention of Karen who took excellent care of our group. Fantastic location immediately outside the gates of Machu Picchu! Comfortable rooms with “private” veranda and access to garden. Fabulous natural surroundings. Delightful variety of souvenir water bottles, and welcome chocolates and thoughtful amenities such as sun screen and mosquito repellant!

Cons: Food: Hamburger and club sandwich from room service excellent! Quality and variety of buffet in coffee shop very mediocre and uninspiring…bordering on bad cafeteria standards…! 😰 Food quality in main dining room good, 👍🏻👌🏻💪🏻 but not in line with the exuberant cost of accommodations per night…would have much preferred paying a la carte for food & alcoholic beverage with a reduced room rate…

EXCEPTIONAL PROPERTY AND STAFF.

Pros: Wow. Just an epic experience. The most incredible and dedicated team work at this hotel. Exceeded my expectations. Can not recommend a property more. The location next to the entrance is brilliant. Food is outstanding. Thank you everyone at Sanctuary Lodge for an unforgettable experience.

You would not regret to pick this hotel if you want a completed experience in Machu picchu.

Pros: The hotel will arrange luggage take-up at the train station so I can join the Machu picchu tour directly without wasting time for logistics. And when some of our luggages were not transported by the train company from Cusco to Machu picchu, the staff Jhon gave us a big hand and solved the issue smoothly. I do appreciate the whole team of the hotel and specifically thank you Jhon for his service.

Cons: Everything is wonderful.

A fantastic way to see Machu Picchu.. I would do it again in a heart beat.

Pros: The location was just great… truly a sanctuary after exiting the park. The staff were delightful, special mention to Russell in the dining room and Jhun who met me off the train. I was given an upgrade to the most amazing suite… and there was even a shower room for after I had checked out so I could refresh after walking. Overall I had a blast.

Cons: I only stayed one night:… if I did it again I would ask if I could save the lunch for the second day (as it was I had a big lunch and big dinner on the same day…) - just a detail though .

Unique hotel! Great experience.

Pros: Unique hotel in front of the park entrance. The staff and the service are great. We received so many small gifts during the stay like: rain coats, water containers, unlimited free mini bar and room service, chocolates, etc… plus, dinner and lunch were included in the room price (full board). The room is rather small, but has all the luxury items! The hotel gives you access to the Hiram Bingham lounge at the águas calientes train station which is a huge plus (the station is super crowded), even if you are taking another train like vista dome. Plus, they will take care of your luggages from the hotel to the lounge.

Cons: Nothing.
