We would definitely stay here again!
Pros: The view out of our windows (that opened) over a creek that runs into the Urubamba river, with the town streets below, and mountains surrounding the town was absolutely stunning!!! The staff were friendly, and made us a wonderful breakfast!
Cons: An elevator would be nice, but I don't think these are very common in this area. My legs were just not used to all of the climbing and being at altitude so the 4th floor room was a challenge, but totally worth it!

Great stay on the way to Machu Picchu.
Pros: The location was perfect. Five minute walk from the train station and a one minute walk from the buses to Machu Picchu. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The room was perfect for our family of four, and the Wifi was excellent. The breakfast was delicious, too.
Cons: The bathroom was very small, but it had what you needed.

Pros: 1) the hotel cancelled (with no extra fees) my non-refundable reservation for the second room which was made due to a technical error, ----- which I highly appreciated 2) we were able to check in early, like 1 p.m. 3) comfy rooms, generous size, very quiet (soundproofed) 4) tasty breakfast

Excellent Location for Machu Pichu stayover - Large and Clean and Quiet Rooms
Pros: Mapiland is a perfect location hotel for staying over when visiting Machu Pichu, its located in the centre of town and only 5 minutes walk from the train station, the windows are double glazed so there is zero noise from the street, the owners are super friendly and helpful

Large, very clean, quiet room but quite expensive.
Pros: The hotel is exceptionally clean. The beds were very comfortable. Location is excellent overlooking the river. And all the windows are double glazed so that noise at night is not an issue. Breakfast was good but not exceptional.
Cons: I think the hotel is expensive for what it is. The room was big, but bathroom very very small. Overall, a little too expensive and not good value for money.

Pros: Such an amazing hotel! The location is perfect — very central, just a short walk from both the bus stop and the train station. Our room overlooked the town and the river, with huge windows and a breathtaking view. The beds were very comfortable, and everything was spotlessly clean. Highly recommended!
Cons: One downside: before arrival, they messaged us asking for our arrival time so they could pick us up at the train station. We replied with the details but never received an answer. They didn’t respond to emails or messages, and no one picked up the phone. In the end, no one showed up, so we just walked to the hotel — which was easy since it’s nearby and we had little luggage. Still, it was frustrating that they offered a service and then ignored all communication. They did apologize, and it wasn’t a big problem, but they really should respond to guests’ messages.
