Mayu Boutique Hotel

Pros: The service was fantastic, all of the staff were supportive and helpful especially Angie at the front desk when we arrived. The rooms were comfortable and showers had great water pressure.

Cons: We could hear a lot of street noise and people moving about on other floors/behind the walls etc.

Pros: We're so happy we chose to stay in Mayu for our time in Cusco. The location is excellent for for visiting the archaeological and other sites nearby and still close to the main plaza and lots of restaurants. The staff were superb, very kind, thoughtful. Our room was clean and comfortable, with a great bed and good shower. It was nice to have breakfast as well as the little cafe at the front by reception that served delicious coffee.

Cons: We can't think of anything we didn't like. We would definitely stay there again.

Wonderful boutique hotel that is well cared for and value for money. Small fridge would be good.

Pros: The staff service was excellent and they were always helpful. The rooms were clean and although a bit dated were comfortable. Breakfast was basic but always tasty and enough.

Cons: Cafe wasn't serving expresso coffees, rooms could have had a small fridge to keep things cold for ourselves. Location is great for views but access with heavy luggage is a problem and there is no assistance as you have to climb many steps to the hotel.

Pros: This property is perfect for a few days in Cusco. Comfortable beds, hot showers, extra blankets as it gets quite cool at night (with the option of turning the heater on if needed too). The staff are so accommodating and kind, they helped us organise our bags for when we visited Machu Picchu. The view from the room was beautiful, could see out over the house tops of Cusco. Plenty of amazing restaurants and pharmacies a short walk down the hill, about 15 mins slow walk to the main Plaza too. The hotel has a 24hr tea station, with coca leaves and muna tea on tap! Makes it a lot easier to settle and adjust to altitude. We didn’t have any issues with noise, during the day the street outside the hotel is a tourist attraction in itself (beautiful) so there’s voices then of passers by, but at night we had no issues whatsoever.

Cons: Nothing, the walk up to the entrance is no different to walking around the hills of Cusco (it’s a very steep city generally).

Cons: Average breakfast, not reccomended for long stays, the bathroom had a bit of mold on the ceiling, cold rooms.
