Hostal Apu Qhawarina

Apu Qhawarina comes totally recommended.

Pros: Big and bright room with large and comfortable bed,speedy wifii and good hot water pressure. Nice terrace with view to the ruins. Just steps from the main plaza. Elena ,the owner, is very helpful and communicative,although she speaks only spanish.

Cons: No bed side lights. Breakfast was OK for the price.

Pros: Great value, welcoming hosts, perfect location, nice rooms and bonus to have a terrace to chill out on.

Cons: Minor issue was that we couldn’t get the hot water to work in the shower, but that’s a pretty regular problem.

Pros: Location was perfect, right next to the square which was great during the festival. Bed was so comfy with a lovely thick feather duvet. Breakfast great - smoothie, fruit salad, bread and sometimes eggs

Pros: Good Wi-Fi, hostal is in the heart of the city, hot shower, super comfortable bed 😍, good breakfast (fruits, juice, bread, tea), panoramic view in roof, nice staff

Nicw stay

Pros: Great place to stay with very big and comfortable room. We arrived quite late and there was no problem with the check in . Staff were really nice and helpful with everything we requested. We also got amazing tips on what to visit. The breakfast was ok . You only have to pay additionally for scramble eggs.

Female solo traveller - A great little hotel/hostel close to everything.

Pros: It was my first time staying in a 'hostel' & I definitely wouldn't class my room (or hotel) as a hostel. It is a great place in the centre of the main square, convenient for everything. The room was clean & comfortable. The receptionist was helpful (even with the language barrier, she used Google translate to help, thanks). Breakfast was nice with a good selection. A great stay, cheap & very cheerful, I would stay here again.

Great hotel run by great people.

Pros: The room was very spacious, there was hot water, the bed was fantastic and warm, breakfast was great, the rooftop terrace offers amazing views and the staff, the family, are absolutely incredible. We had a problem with our tickets for Machu Picchu and from the minute we told them they were very helpful - they started to contact various people and places to try and help us resolve our problem. Just amazing people. Also, my wife was unwell and they helped looked after her at 1 am by making her a camomile tea. Beyda, and family thanks once again for all your help you made us feel welcome and at home.
