Recommend this hotel - lovely place to stay

Pros: Location of hotel is great, easy walk into the main square for restaurants and local ruins etc. staff very helpful, recommended where to visit, thank you. Hotel is by the river and our room looked out into the river and you can see kingfishers if you’re lucky! Room was a good size, bed large and very comfortable. Parking for the car was right outside the hotel, in a cordoned off area so very convenient. Shower was hot and food pressure too. A lovely hotel to spend a couple of days.

Cons: Room didn’t get serviced every day (we stayed three days) and we could have done with bathroom bin being emptied and toilet roll replenished. Luckily I travel with a spare toilet roll! Breakfast was standard for Peru but sometimes there were no clean plates or no cutlery etc - just a small thing but it would make things run smoothly.

Pros: Great lodge with friendly staff and a nice laid-back feel. Private parking spot for motorcycle/car, not fenced but I left my bike there for 6 nights with no problem at all.

100% recommend. Thank you for the hospitality.

Pros: Lovely host family. Location is good with easy access to the town and Ollantaytambo ruins. Stunning view from the room, clean and shower is comfortable. Everything is great!

Pros: Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Building is older but clean and felt very safe. Location very close to town centre.

Cons: Was noisy from traffic on nearby road but seems to be the same everywhere in Ollantaytambo. Hot water was limited during certain hours during the day but wasn't too much of an issue.

Pros: Renè, the onwer, spoke English so we could communicate, always with a small on hi face, he organised for us a beautiful tour in Moray and Salt Mines in a really good price! He was really helpful for anything we asked ! Also the location was great with decent clean rooms.

Pros: Everything, from the warm welcome by the family, the breakfast, the views, the sound of the river, closed to the plaza, we had a beautiful stay, with a bonus that we could see hummingbirds from our bedrooms. Highly recommend.

Beautiful accommodation by the river.

Pros: The accommodation itself is lovely – a beautiful house right by the river, with a comfortable bed and a very pleasant atmosphere. Both the receptionist and the lady preparing breakfast were extremely kind and welcoming, which we really appreciated.

Cons: Unfortunately, our experience with one member of the breakfast staff was very disappointing. The man serving breakfast was unfriendly and, when I asked for an extra slice of cheese, he refused, saying that the portion is strictly limited to three very small slices. The breakfast overall was very basic, and the portion sizes were minimal, so we definitely didn’t eat enough. Being denied something as simple as a bit more cheese felt quite unreasonable. Overall, the accommodation and most of the staff were wonderful, but the breakfast experience was not up to the same standard.

Nice hotel for a family stay.

Pros: We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The manager, Rene, was very friendly and helpful. The hotel rooms were nice and quiet. The breakfast was nice.

Cons: The family room's bathroom could use more hooks for hanging up towels. It would also be nice if the hotel could provide drinking water for free for guests.

Very good vakue for money

Pros: This was a family run small hotel with good assistance from the owners. They were very helpful making sure we knew what to see and do. Rooms were spacious and good hot water.

Cons: It was very cold as there is no heating in the shared spaces so that was a little uncomfortable, often warmer inside than outside. Breakfast was very basic

This hotel is the perfect combination of hotel facilities but feeling welcome in a family home. Totally recommended!

Pros: It’s hard to know where to start to say how good our stay was. Great location by the river with wonderful views, amazingly comfortable bed, good breakfast, steady wifi. But the real joy is staying with Rene and his family. This slightly unusual hotel is the perfect mix of all the facilities of a family hotel yet all the welcome of being in a family home. We felt so welcome that we felt part of Rene’s family. Rene doubles up as driver and guide too, and took us to all of the major sites in the Sacred Valley, making our trips interesting and always allowing us as much time as we wanted at each site. Oh, and Ollantaytambo is absolutely lovely.

Cons: Absolutely nothing to dislike.
