Great choice to spend time in Cusco

Pros: Great localization, very close to the city center (Plaza de Armas). The staff was always ready to help.

Cons: The shower at our room was leaking a little bit. As a result there was a small flood in the bathroom every evening.

Best accommodation in Cusco

Pros: The hotel staff is the best I have ever seen. They are very helpful and attentive to every detail. They took care to prepare a special reception for my parents.

Great location and lovely staff

Pros: -location fabulous - laundry service was good and was done on the same day and delivered to my room - breakfast good - coca tea available all day - staff really friendly - room was big and clean -blankets and heater

Cons: - glass on room door which let light in, I was next to the breakfast area so was disruptive in the morning - water took a while to heat up for the shower, one evening had no hot water (this is to be expected in Peru however) -kitchen units and microwave in room with kitchen sink yet no fridge or any utensils or plates to use

Amazing Customer Service

Pros: In terms of value for money and customer service, Matara Greens Hotel is an excellent choice for anyone visiting Cusco. We were so impressed by Hugo and his colleague at the hotel. We had a few small issues with buses and check in times but Hugo accommodated us for everything. He even prepared a breakfast for us at 3am when we set off for the Inca Trail.

Cons: The breakfast could maybe be improved slightly but Hugo and his colleague made us boiled eggs at our request. We had one problem with the shower in our room but Hugo also let us use a shower in another room and made sure we were well looked after. Thanks so much Hugo & co. Would definitely recommend it to anyone travelling to Cusco.

Pros: Hugo and his team went above and beyond to make our stay as pleasant as possible. We stayed a total of 7 nights, divided in 3 separate stays (3 nights, 3 nights, 1 night). When we got back from our trips to check in again, our luggage would already be in our room. Also, if we had to leave the property very early to depart on trips, the team would prepare a lunchbox to take with us. Hugo speaks very decent English as well! Breakfast was decent, with fruit, jam and bread. Bathroom was clean. The location is good, as the property is situated within minutes walking distance of the old center of Cusco.

Cons: Shower in the first room did not really get warm. In the second room, shower worked nicely. Light sensor in the hallway seemed broken, so the lights would constantly turn on and off again.

I highly recommend Matara Greens!

Pros: I felt very safe there. The rooms were really clean. It was also very quiet. The staff was VERY friendly! They even packed me little snack bags with a drink for two of my day excursions. I couldn't be more grateful. The hospitality was the best I experienced in Lima.

Cons: The shower water took a long time to warm up and the shower head isn't moveable.

Happy to stay. Will stay if visit again

Pros: Location was very good. Front desk person was just awesome 👌. 24-7 he was ready to help.

Vacaciones en familia

Pros: Viajamos con mis hijas. Nos encantó el lugar, agradable, limpio, unas camas cómodas y calentitas para descansar después de las largas caminatas recorriendo Cusco. El personal de recepción está día y noche, siempre dispuestos a solucionar cualquier duda, nos preparaban una cajita para los tours. El desayuno muy rico y variado. Preparan un café exquisito. Sin duda volveremos. Mil gracias 😊

Cons: Quizás agregar en las habitaciones un espacio para guardar o colgar la ropa.

Pros: Das Personal war total freundlich und hilfsbereit. Schönes Zimmer, gutes Frühstück, tolle Lage. Perfekt!

Confortável e bem localizada.

Pros: A equipe é muito atenciosa e o quarto é super confortável. Só precisa estar preparado(a) para subir algumas escadas. A localização também é excelente! Super indico e ficaria novamente.
