Golden Sunrise Machupicchu

Pros: Way better then other hotels we have seen. Was just a solid hotel we needed for a good nights sleep before machu picchu. Can recommend.

A good option if you like to be slightly out of the buzz but still close to everything

Pros: Large room, very comfortable bed and the room was well serviced and kept immaculately clean. Staff were friendly, location is at the end of town so away from any noise at night. Wifi a bit variable but generally a good place to stay.

Cons: Breakfast was limited and not always replenished so you might arrive at 7am and coffee and eggs, for instance, have already run out and only get replenished if you ask for it.

Well located hotel in Aguascalientes (Machu Pichu village)

Pros: Location is good as the hotel is in a silent street still close to the train station and bus stop to Machu Pichu. Room was clean and comfortable.

Cons: Breakfast was too simple for 4 star hotel. Windows were open when I got to my room, which is not ideal in an area where there are mosquitoes.

Great for overnight or a few days stay while hanging around Macchu Picchu area.

Pros: Great if you need some peace and quiet away from the main town areas. The room was very spacious and there were views to the adjacent mountain from the small terrace. Close to amenities, convenience stores and restaurants. Instant hot water showers if you need it. Free breakfast included. The night receptionist was very friendly and helpful.

Cons: There is another building being constructed in front of the hotel which is now blocking most of the river view and obstructs the mountain. I was on Level 5 and looking out of the terrace into a half constructed building wasn't exactly appealing, however, this is more of a town planning issue rather than the hotel.

Lovely well located hotel.

Pros: We stayed for just one night. The hotel was well located and clean, the town is small so you can pretty much reach anywhere form the hotel. The staff was friendly and the room was very comfortable - the view of the mountains was lovely.

Cons: Only issue we had was that there was a small leak in the bathroom that made the floor wet at times.

Pros: Location is very good, nice breakfest and the staff was very kind.

Cons: room had a strong smell, maybe pigeon urine from outside.

Highly recommended

Pros: My room was very spacious. The bed was a dream. The wifi was excellent. The room facilities left nothing to be desired. There is a very large flat screen TV (with all internet streaming services) with sound system. The bathroom was large, but my highlight was the jacuzzi in the room. After an exhausting (but gorgeous) hike to Macchu Picchu, there was no better place for me to relax in this hot tub. A large balcony overlooking the small river and a mountain with a very quiet neighbourhood completed the visit. Not to be forgotten: The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Good option

Pros: Good option to stay in Águas Calientes. It is located a little bit far from the main center, but in a very short walk (about 5 minutes) you reach the artisan market, train station and restaurants. The hotel itself is nice. The staff is friendly. The room is big, clean and confortable. The breakfast is ok, but could be improved.
