Qolqampata Hotel

We checked in last minute, everything went smoothly, we were organized a ride to pisac for a good price.

Pros: Nice interior, a balcony with a great view, good breakfast and helpful staff.

Cons: The triple room was a little cramped.

Great Cusco Hostel

Pros: Hostel is in a great location 5 mins up the hill from the main square and well placed for exploring all Cusco has to offer. Room was comfortable with all we needed for our stay and it was relatively quiet compared with some places we've stayed in Peru. Staff were very friendly, giving us breakfast when we arrived early into Cusco after a night bus. We were also able to check in 2 hours early which was really great. The staff also arranged a quick and high quality laundry service for us which was a big help.

Cons: There were a few occasions where there was no hot water in the shower during busier periods although the rest of the time the shower was powerful and hot. Breakfast was reliable but basic and would be quite repetitive during a long stay.

Pros: Nice hostal, with great views on the city. Good breakfast. Basic rooms, we took a familial one for 5. It was a bit tight but ok and actually great versus the price. Location is good, just a bit of the center but bear in mind it’s up the hill. May you have heavy luggage it’s best arriving by taxi.

Pros: Ery helpful staff that went out of their way to get excursions organized for us.

Pros: We loved our stay at this hotel in Cusco! It is run by a very friendly family who are always there to help you with anything you need, making you feel at home from the moment you arrive. We enjoyed a fresh breakfast every morning, and the staff was always available to help us. If you want a true local experience while visiting Cusco, this is the place to stay!

Cons: It is located a bit uphill, so it can feel tricky the first couple of days, but it’s nothing that can’t be handled with slow, steady walking (and it’s great acclimatization for Cusco!). Our room was quite cold at night, but the staff kindly provided a heater, which made it comfortable.

Excellent with lovely hot showers.

Pros: We very much enjoyed Hostal Qolqampata and returned again on our second trip to Cusco. The showers were very hot, good location near to main plaza, friendly staff, luggage storage, laundry services were good and we got upgraded for free on our second visit. The breakfast whilst not fancy, was very enjoyable and had good views of the city. A variety of hot drinks/tea available for free was nice as Cusco can be quite cold. Nearby restaurant Vikingo was very good and the closeby Saqsaywaman ruins is highly recommended to visit.

Cons: Not a downside but note that there are some very steep steps nearby to the hotel, but you can avoid these by walking down to the main plaza directly.

Pros: Very friendly and nice Hostal just above the historic centre of Cusco. Super friendly staff who were very helpful and generous. Nice breakfast and a great terrace overlooking the centre. We will definitely come back here when we return to Cusco in the future.

Cosy accommodation.

Pros: Breakfast was simple but ok. Just the bread seemed to be cheap and bad quality. If you have to go out early in the morning before breakfast, the property do not support with a breakfast box. Consider this before you pay for breakfast .

Cons: The property charges in US Dollars and not Soles, The rate exchange is not accurate and not displayed at the front desk, So you get doubts if you have been charged properly and fairly. The property is just less than 10 minutes away form the main square going down the hill which is very convenient but it could be tiring to get back when you go up the hill.

Pros: The most beautiful hospitality! Felt very at home and our favourite stay while in Peru.

Pros: The family is absolutely lovely and caring, it was a pleasure to stay at the Hostal Qolqampata. After check out we could leave our luggage there for some days, what was really helpful for us. The view from our room was beautiful. Thank you for the nice stay!
