Lovely friendly place !
Pros: The location & style of this little hotel are great. It’s unassuming yet completely appropriate for a stay in Cuzco to the extent that the staff makes sure that you are adequately supplied with coca tea to help with any altitude issues. Breakfast fine; bed comfortable; location great; staff friendly & helpful . . . what more can you ask ?
Cons: Minor criticism - the oil filled radiator is inadequate for heating the room. However, the supplied hairdryer . . . .

Biutiful historic guesthouse around a peaceful courtyard
Pros: Cute guesthouse in a historic building in the old town of Cusco. It is a tranquil place with a beautiful courtyard. Staff are very friendly. The rooms are nicely decorated and with good facilities. Good choice of breakfast served in the garden. The beds are comfortable and the rooms have decent heating.
Cons: They were a bit slow to answer requests on booking. We had booked three short stays. On the first stay, we were given a family room upstairs. The room had a private bathroom but only accesible from the floor which was open and thus a bit cold. Plus a bit inconvenient to reach the upper floor with the luggage on the narrow wooden stairns. We asked for a twin room downstairs for our next stay which we liked much better. We asked if we could have the same room for the last stay and they said of course but when we came back the room was occupied. Thus, we were given a double room downstairs which was also good. All rooms are pretty dark with thick walls and small windows. The garden/courtyard is nice to sit but a bit cold in the morning. Alternatively you can have breakfast in the small reception. Would be great to have a proper room for breakfast.

Pros: My wife and I stayed at AFMA for two nights in September 2025 and really liked it here! The hotel is clearly not luxurious but the pricing was very appropriate. The room was in good shape, well maintained and absolutely clean. The shower worked very well - just a short wait and then you get hot water with good pressure. The hotel also provided a portable heater (which we luckily did not need). There was also a hair dryer in the room which my wife appreciated a lot. Our room had a TV with Netflix, which is also a plus. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The guys at the reception spoke very good English making communication easy. The breakfast was very good as well with a good selection. The hotel is located only a short walk from the central square. The neighborhood is absolutely safe and very pretty. Overall, an absolute recommendation!
Cons: Nothing to complain about! :-)

Pros: Clean, comfy, heat included, great breakfast and excellent communication. Afma is definitely value for the price paid. Very centrally located and included heat as it was extremely cold. Afma stored our luggage as we left and returned from Agua Callientes. The staff were extremely helpful and the communication was excellent. GJEIS confirmed breakfast each day and for early morning trips, he packed a to go box, greatly appreciated. Maria and the other kitchen staff catered to the breakfast which was tasty. Overall, a recommended stay.
Cons: Thin walls but not a deal breaker. Everything else was excellent.

Pros: Although first impressions are not great (hard to find and looks like someone's house).once you get through the gate it's a cosy little place. Provided heaters for the rooms and had hot water Breakfast menu was lovely, lots of choices Helped out with oxygen for my son who was struggling with altitude sickness 4 blocks from.Plaza Mayor
Cons: You can really only eat breakfast outside and it was cold in Cusco in the morning (you can eat in the tiny reception but it was too cramped for a family of four) Bathrooms door is fairly see through so little privacy

Quiet, cozy and exceptionally friendly
Pros: We had a wonderful stay at Afma Cusco! The hotel exceeded our expectations in many ways. The hot shower was perfect after long days of exploring, one of the best I’ve had in Peru. The room was very comfortable, quiet and even had heating, which is a huge plus in Cusco. The location is fantastic, close to everything yet in a calm and peaceful area. The breakfasts were fresh and generous, a great way to start the day. A special mention to Gjeis at the front desk, super friendly, always smiling and ready to help with anything. The entire staff was kind and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for comfort, tranquility and genuine hospitality in the heart of Cusco!

An absolute gem of a hotel with really lovely staff.
Pros: This is a wonderful hotel! The staff are so lovely, the location is so great, the breakfast so generous and the room was the most relaxing and well equipped room we’ve had in Peru so far. It’s also very quiet as it’s set back from the street behind a pretty courtyard. This hotel is a complete gem - really, really fabulous.
