Pros: The rooftop is the absolute highlight of this property! We spent so much time sitting up there in the sun, drinking coffee and soaking in the beautiful surroundings. The staff were wonderful here, they showed us how to use the kitchen and were always very welcoming and helpful whenever we needed it... even though we don't speak much Spanish. The room was kept nicely, we stayed in the triple room and had the most beautiful view out our window. The bed was comfortable and the shower was warm (important on our travels!). Having access to the kitchen was helpful to avoid eating out all the time as Ollantaytambo can get a bit expensive due to being a tourist town. The stay here is good value for money in an expensive town.

Pros: We really loved our stay here! Cozy room, own bathroom, nice view from balcony. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Cons: Room was really light early in the morning, so extra curtains would be nice add!

Pros: Location is perfect. The size of the rooms is ok for the prize. It really is a little hotel more than a hostel. It has a bunch of private rooms. Very good for the prize. Clean, central. All good.

Cons: The staff is ok but could be a bit more helpful. They couldn't response simple questions about the town like where can we find an ATM or even the archaeological zone (which is literally...just there, but not very visible at night when we arrived. This is evidently not required and now we can find anything online. But it was a bit odd they didn't know pretty much anything, and yes, I was speaking their language XD. It was a bit funny.

Okay for me for one night

Pros: Comfy bed and one low light aswell as the main light Right on the plaza, but my room (102 ground floor)was at the back, so I didn't hear noise from the plaza, but.... ( see negatives below!)

Cons: I had agreed through messages I could pay in usd, but the girl initially strongly said no! She made a phonecall and then I was allowed to pay in dollars. There wasn't always someone on reception but the doir to the outside was left open. My room had no window. I heard alot of noise from other guests coming and going as there was space around the doorframe! Also because of this, i felt it would have been easy to break in to my room.

Pros: The room is very basic and a bit small, but okay for the price. The bed was comfortable. The staff working there was nice. The location is perfect as it's right on the main square, albeit a bit set back in a small yard. They have a sign though, so it's easy to find.

Cons: The water wasn't really hot. It was rather tepid.

One night in Ollantaytambo.

Pros: Stayed one night right in the main square in Ollantaytambo. It is a little tucked away behind some shops but great room, comfy beds, window looking out on the mountains and ruins. The location is about as good as you can get. Nice service and let us store our luggage while we spent the day exploring before our train to Aguas Calientes.

Cons: Shower was temperamental but did get some warm water. Wifi was so so.

What we needed in Ollantaytambo

Pros: Comfortable beds, private rooms, hot shower, view, reasonable price, ok with a late check in, luggage storage. We slept well and it was relatively quiet.

Cons: We arrived late, around midnight, and the sockets and the showers weren't working. However, in the morning we contacted the staff (with the help of Google translate) and they turned everything on.

Must stay

Pros: Love everything. Location is perfect at the plaza. The room is clean, prenty of space. There is a paranomic deck seeing all the city. Amazing. Reccommended.

Cons: Nothing!!

Pros: Very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was filling and across the road in a restaraunt. Seems recently renovated. Had hot water and staff were friendly and readily available. It is located close to the plaza in a side alley.

Pros: Excellent hostel that is great value for money. Staff were very polite and helpful. Would definitely recommend.
