Runa House

Pros: My partner and I stayed here for the night before starting the Inca Trail trek to Machu Picchu. The hosts were so lovely and helpful. They provided us with takeaway breakfast bags as we said we would be leaving early in the morning. The rooms are simple, but clean and large. The hosts were also happy to store our luggage for four days while we completed the trek, and gave us hot water bottles for bed. They went above and beyond. Highly recommend if you want a budget stay in a great location xx from two Aussie's

Up to expectations.

Pros: The comfort is acceptable given the price: it is a nice traditional house. The staff is very well organized and helpful. Breakfast is good, beds are comfortable. The place is very quiet. Heating is good.

Cons: Location is OK not so close from the center of Cusco. Some rooms are less comfortable than others.

Pros: Close to historic town centre. Very clean property. Warm and friendly staffs.

Cons: Need to walk through a short alley and 2 gates to get to the property. No reception desk.

A perfect stay

Pros: Such a charming little B&B right in the heart of town. Because it is at the back of the courtyard, there is no noise at all. Everything was sparkling clean, even the shared kitchen/lounge. My room was bright and comfortable, one of the more recently renovated, with the best shower I have had in my 7 weeks in South America! Fast and reliable wifi. Breakfast made to order and hot drinks + fruits available all day. The owners were really welcoming. They don't speak English, but we managed communication easily with Whatsapp and Google Translate. They go above and beyond to make your stay easy and comfortable. This is a 5-star B&B... you won't be disappointed.

Cons: I cannot praise this place enough... there is absolutely nothing more I could have asked for.

Pros: Good communication and lovely hot-water bottle service. We could even leave our big luggage during the inka trail in the hotel.

Cons: More storage space for luggage and hooks for towels in the bathroom would be great.

Lovely spot in a great location in Cusco

Pros: Really liked staying here, went back multiple times in our trip. Good value, comfortable and well located

Cons: Generally amazing but advise to bring ear plugs if you're a light sleeper as the rooms don't have a lot of sound proofing if other people are up late or early

Very recommended!

Pros: Very good quality for the price. The service has been outstanding with the staff very attentive to our needs. They even prepared breakfast for us and started a nice and pleasant chat. They were so kind with us and made the kitchen available to us.

Pros: Elizabeth the owner has always responded quickly to messages and the staff looking after the place are very lovely and hardworking. The beds were very comfortable and the warm blankets and the daily prepared hot water bottles were great. Breakfast was good. The location was quiet. A special thank you goes to Alejandro and Jose for their exceptional service.

Cons: There is no outside sitting area.

Simply the best

Pros: Staff was amazing, great location, nice room, tasty breakfast. But the best was the hot water bottle you got each night! 😍

A quiet place up the hill

Pros: It is relatively convenient location. Fairly close to San Pedro market or the main square, however walking is required. On the plus side, it is at a very quiet kocation and tucked away from the main street. Mery, the house keeper and her young daughter, are very very polite and happy company to be around in the mornings. Breakfast is provided and although being basic, it is yummy. We had a very early start on a day tour and were given a snack pack by Alejandro. It was a very sweet gesture.

Cons: Beds were quite hard and did give us back pains. Payment is only in cash (no card facilities) which can be given to Mery. This is inconvenient.
