Casa Republica Barranco Boutique Hotel

Very recommended - nice location and hotel and very good service 😊

Pros: The hotel and Service is wonderful. 5 ⭐️The service has been also A1. The beds very comfortable and the rooms clean. Furthermore there is a beautiful patio and terrace to enjoy the barranco vibes. It’s very next to the malecón so that one can walk to miraflores with a nice view to the sea. Regarding service I have to say that the woman working in reception at check in as well the manager of the restaurant at the ground floor have been always very friendly and customer oriented to me and my husband.

Cons: More than don’t like what I missed and could be some improvements are: 1. a separate door from restroom to the bedroom. 2. A more spacious shower 3. A small gym room with some equipment would be very nice (nice to have) Regarding security: One night the fire alarm was triggered but apparently this sounds affected only one building and didn’t get connect to the central. (Luckily it was not a real fire case) but in the case that really there is fire it should be checked that the alarm works properly. And one last small thing: one night the security man thought I would be a visitor and asked many times for my personal ID. At the beginning I didn’t understand why he wanted my ID and afterwards I had to clarify that I was an hotel guest. Maybe it would important to train the people to first ask if they don’t know or recognize all hotel guest if the person stays at the hotel and then first after the answer to ask for an ID if it’s the case.

Barranco is a great place to stay in Lima, Casa Republica is a great hotel on the best street

Pros: Location, charm, staff. And great breakfast. Beautiful garden, rooftop bar and lovely rooms.

Cons: Stupid and inane music which could be heard everywhere at all hours

Xmas stay with great staff and a lovely room

Pros: The room was great. The breakfast was certainly good although coffee from an automatic machine rather than someone making an espresso was a disappointment. Staff were great. The decor and the garden added a lot

Cons: The automatic coffee machine at breakfast which meant that we had to go out and buy a decent coffee. We ate in the restaurant one night and that was good but a bit below expectations

Pros: The room is comfortable and the furniture is very nice. Breakfast is full of choice and really tasty, perfectly prepared

Cons: Bed is too soft. The room was exactly on the reception and early in the morning was very noise.

A Relaxing Stay In Barranco !

Pros: We only stayed one night but would have loved the stay more. First of all, thumbs up to the extremely welcoming staff upon arrival. They really made us feel at home and so throughout our stay. The hotel is very well located in Barranco, excellent conditions ! The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom perfect and the breakfast was very nice with a lot of options ! Nice attention also, the welcome drink at the rooftop bar !

Unreasonable Republica ...

Pros: The hotel is an old colonial house furnished and decorated in a contemporary style. Breakfast was pleasant and water and coffee are provided round the clock at no additional cost

Cons: The size of the room was impossibly small for two people. Given the cost of the room it was very disappointing. The price should be much reduced or a larger room offered. Also we were embarrassed to be asked to return the laundry bag. It's a printed cloth bag which we took as a souvenir - nowhere did it say laundry bags were chargeable. We were asked for $10 for a $1 bag.

Beautiful hotel with friendly staff in a great location

Pros: Beautiful Hotel, very clean and big rooms. Staff were really friendly and great breakfast. Location was also great in the heart of Barranco. Close to restaurants and other amenities.

Highly recommended

Pros: A fabulous old building that has been made comfortable while keeping the character of the historic building. The staff were all excellent. Our room was spacious and quiet The area was lovely and safe to walk around, a welcome rest from much of the rest of Lima.

Cons: We had long taxi rides to get to other parts of Lima, but it was a price worth paying to stay in such a lovely area.
