Nativus Hostel Machu Picchu

Great:)

Pros: Everything was awesome, they gave us a breakfast box to go. It wasn't my favourite snacks inside like sugary stuff, but still very nice. The bed was comfortable, bathroom a little small but good.

Pros: Excellent service by the people who work here, shout out to Sylvia for being so sweet and helpful with everything. For the price, towels, soap, and a nutritious breakfast are included — something a disappointing number of hostels and hotels are moving away from to squeeze more money out. Much appreciated that Nativus diverges from that practice and makes the stay here complete.

Highly recommend!

Pros: Friendly atmosphere, clean, good location, nice terrace both beautiful view, good breakfast.

Pros: The room was spacious, and they provided towels and soap. The owners were very kind, and everything is located very close by. The hostel has a fantastic common area on the terrace where you can easily chat and make new friends with other travelers—it's excellent for solo travelers.

Cons: The bathroom space in the private room is very small, and the whole bathroom gets wet after showering.

Pros: Excellent location and the rooms were clean. The bar has beautiful views and Kelvin, the bartender, was the highlight of my trip to Aguas Calientes. His warmth and humour was contagious, and he even went as far as staying beyond his shift to help me learn Spanish. Kelvin is a legend!

Cons: I found the other two staff at the hostel to be rude and condescending, feigning friendliness. One of them even woke me up at 8am to tell me to move to the bunk below, which made no sense because there was no one else staying in my room, and she had told me to take the top bunk. The other staff should be trained not to unduly disturb guests.

Pros: Girl at reception was very nice and helpful with any information I needed. Breakfast was great, and also location was close to everything. The beds have a little lamp and where to charge your phone and curtains.

Cons: Lots of stairs. (I had a sprain in my ankle) shouldn't be a problem for others.

Good value for money for a night

Pros: - breakfast box if you leave really early - big terrasse view to the city and mountains - good wifi and hot shower - the/coca leafs anytime

Cons: - non flexible check in Even the dorm was totally empty when I arrived really early - a bit noisy - far from the city center, the hostel is located a the end of the main street

Would recommend

Pros: Best shower (for pressure and heat) in South America. Good location. Great terrace. Clean. Nice staff. Towels are available, so you don't need to bring one if you're trying to travel light from Cusco.

Cons: It didn't feel too secure in the bottom dorm with easy access from the street without having to pass any staff or needing a key. I'm sure that on my last night someone came into the room a few times who wasn't staying there, I woke up several times in the night because someone opened the door. Would be nice if soap was provided in the bathroom as I think this is the first hostel I've stayed in where it hasn't been provided. My friend is vegan and unfortunately wasn't able to eat the breakfast provided because the bread is croissants. She could only have a banana.

Pros: Great location for those travelling to machu pichu. Staff were very responsive and helpful (made a packed breakfast for us to take to machu pichu which was so much appreciated).

Cons: Lighting in the room was quite harsh. Room was a bit small and the window didn't completely close.

Great place to stay

Pros: They have a rooftop terrasse where you can stay before check-in and after check-out. You get hot water for tea and a small breakfast (fruit, eggs and bread) is included. The wifi works very well, there are big lockers in the rooms and the staff is super friendly and helpful.

Cons: All good :) Maybe assign beds to people. That's a bit messy when suddenly your bed is taken because all your stuff is in the locker and nobody knows if a bed is taken or not :)
