Pretty comfortable and well located place. Decent price for value with great views on ruins.

Pros: The staff was very flexible when it came to payment and timing. However, it was not communicated well on Booking.com that card payment would be subjected to an additional 5% surcharge. Due to their flexibility, it was no problem though.

Cons: Nothing much, except perhaps the miscommunication on payment options. Apart from that, it was all great. The staff was very helpful when needed, otherwise left us alone for most of the trip. Help was provided also for trips and tours.

Good value stay in great location

Pros: Great value room right on the square. The room and bathroom are simply furnished and clean, reflective of the cheap price you pay for this great location, 5 minutes walk from the Inca ruins. Rooftop area with sweeping views. Really good range of options for places to eat. A great value place to stay before heading off on the Ince Trail or further into the Sacred Valley.

Cons: No heating in the room, but the bed was warm.

Los Apus

Pros: Such a lovely place to stay, right on Plaza de Armas but still very quiet & peaceful. The accomodation was very comfortable, a nice breakfast served in the restaurant above the plaza, a lovely terrace on top with fabulous views, & very genuine, warm & helpful staff. We really enjoyed our 4 nights there. We went on a day tour (driver organised through the hostal) to 4 different places in the Sacred Valley (incl Urumbapa Thurs market) which was exceptional & to Machu Picchu on the train, a 10 minute walk to the station.

Cons: The only issue was the shower leaked so it was always wet in front of the toilet. I'm sure that can be easily rectified.
