Oasis in the middle of dusty Ica

Pros: Lovely hostel with a beautiful garden where you could relax after a day’s sightseeing. Comfortable rooms and the whole place was super clean. We also enjoyed the breakfast with fresh fruit.

Lovely garden in the city

Pros: Amazing garden, as everyone has already stated. And the rooms and bathrooms are equally lovely. You can rest in peace without the noise of the busy streets. Good enough breakfast.

We would go back again and again

Pros: The accommodation is very quaint, the little courtyard adds a peaceful atmosphere to the premises, perfect after a busy day visiting the area. The care given to cleanliness is very much evident and welcomed. We were happy we chose 'El Huerto ' whilst in Ica.

Good place to stay with lots of plants

Pros: They have a garage. It was very safe to park our car there. Staff is friendly and helpful. Beautiful patio.

Pros: Very nice service. Rooms were well equipped and we could check in in the middle of the night. It was also not a problem to store our baggage until our bus departure time.

Good stay for 1 night

Pros: Nice quiet location, tucked off the Main Street, you would never know it was there. Clean small room. Great restaurant 5 mins away ‘Dona Clarita’. Stayed before going on dune buggy tour, which was only 15 mins away. Convenient for bus station.

Cons: Staff not the friendliest. Cold eggs at breakfast.

A good stay overall

Pros: Exactly as shown in the photos. Can’t fault how they’ve listed it as it’s as described.

Cons: The staff weren’t particularly friendly. They weren’t unfriendly but equally, not welcoming. They contacted us over WhatsApp about our arrival time. We thought early afternoon but as the day progressed, it got later and later. Nowhere does it state there’s a limited check in period. They were asking us “are you really sure you’re coming?” Which was uncomfortable, almost implying that we were lying or not sure. This wasn’t comfortable. We thus had to pay before arrival to assure them we were coming. Breakfast wasn’t great. Just bread and a few types of fruit. I suppose it was free/included in the room rate.
