Hostal Casa Del Inka

Pros: Staff very friendly and accommodating. We had to change the dates to split the booking and they allowed us to change the dates - no problem. Family was very friendly. Good view from breakfast balcony. Offered for us to leave our bags there when on salkantay trek. Good proximity to main square. Note the accommodation is on a steep step of stairs. No problem for able bodied people but for late night pick ups/drop off involved 5 mins walk to top or bottom of hill.

Cons: 1st room (stayed 2 nights) shower was very cold. 2nd room we stayed in shower was fine.

Pros: The people from the hostel were very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and clean. The rooftop terrace is a nice place to enjoy the view of the city.

Cons: As in all our bookings in Perou there was no heating in the room thus it was quite cold.

Small Cusco gem

Pros: Very good value for money. Clean, lots of blankets, good breakfast with stunning view. A small climb to the location but far from the nightclub area so no noise. We were in and out of this hotel between our tours out from Cusco and the staff remembered us between the stays and helped us e.g. with laundry while we were away.

Cons: The facilities are a bit run down and the hot water in the shower requires some tinkering. But honestly for this price you cannot expect Hilton and everything was still clean.

Beautiful rooftop view; warm and friendly staff

Pros: Really friendly staff, beautiful rooftop breakfast area and accommodated a late-check in since I arrived late on the bus back from Machu Pitchu. Some steps to get up there, but not too bad!

Cons: The room was colder than i can handle and the shower was a little bit difficult to use. The water was hot but the room so cold that unfortunately shower was not the most pleasant experience

Really nice staff, facilities and breakfast, would recommend to families.

Pros: The breakfast was amazing. Had pancakes with chocolate and bananas and a couple of pieces of bread. We had a private room and bathroom and the water in the shower was warm!

Cons: The room was cold. There’s no hearing and Cusco can get quite cold during the winter. Not really any shared places if you’re wanting to meet travellers.

Perfect location

Pros: Yuri was so helpful in sorting out all our tours at a good price. Lovely breakfast on the terrace. Great location just above the main plaza

What it lack in comfort it more then makes up in locaton, view and competence/friendliness of staff.

Pros: The view from the rooftop terrace was terrific. The manager, Mr. Yuri, was extremely helpful and competent. He helped us organize our trips as well as provided us with valuable advice.

Cons: No heating in the room, so it was cold to sit during evenings (november). The showers are a bit specific - you need to open the water as little as possible to have a warm shower - if you open it to max flow it is cold.
