Casa Salkantay Cusco

Nice comfy stay

Pros: The owner is lovely and very accommodating, the matress is super comfortable and everything was nice and tidy.

Cons: There was a pungent smell from the drain but this improved greatly when you put a cover over it provided by the host.

Good memories about Cusco!

Pros: Zuzan is very nice and friendly person. She makes all possible for guests to feel like home. She prepares herself breakfasts for the guests every morning, you can cook on the common kitchen, store food in the fridge. There is a possibility to wash in washing machine in the house for some extra money (cheap). We were so lucky to arrive in Cusco in June, every day the whole month is a festival, very colorful!

Cons: There is a lack of hot water pressure, but I suppose it is everywhere in Cusco, there is no fault of Casa Salkantay. If you want to have hot shower, keep the water flow as less as possible:)

Pros: Great place to stay. Excellent value. Zuzan is a caring host.

Pros: Very comfortable and cozy. Lovely staff. A comfortable walk from the historic center.

Cons: There was no water coming out of the shower at all, so washing was impossible.

Nice place with lots of room and reasonable cost

Pros: The owner is a dedicated lady whoo will treat you with outmost respect and consideration. She was extremely helpful when I needed help.

Cons: I don't think breakfast was included but I was still treated to a hot drink, some bread and a slice banana for breakfast. Inn general, my experience was awesome. What you pay for what you receive can't be better in Cusco. I recommend this place.

Best place I've been in Cusco, has everything that is needed! Suzanne the host is an amazing woman!

Pros: Amazing host, hot shower, great WiFi, quiet, super clean, very equiped and spacious kitchen.

Cons: A bit far from the center but it's really the best place with private rooms that I've stayed in in Cusco, so extra 6 minutes walk didn't hurt my legs.

Great value for money. Lovely host

Pros: Zuzan looked after us when we had bad altitude sickness..teas to help lots of advice on getting about. The view from the apartment is spectacular in the morning and st night.

Cons: The shower didn't always have hot water or ran hot and cold during shower. Be careful if you are not fit tge stairs are steep to the apartment.

Pros: Everything was great. The host is extremely helpfull and nice. We were able to leave our luggage while going to MP. Very clean rooms, nice location, 12 min on foot to the centre. Home vibe. Hot water (while setting with a little bit lower presure). Great value for money. Definetely worth to stay.

A home away from home in Cusco

Pros: I only stayed for 1 night because the place I was staying didn't have free rooms for that night but I wish I had found this place earlier! It felt like home. The owner was very kind and the room was spacious and cosy. It also has a nice outdoor seating area overlooking the courtyard. I didn't have breakfast here because I had to check-out early but the owner offered to prepare something for me even if I had to leave before the regular breakfast time.

Cons: The wi-fi inside my room was a bit weak. The location is a bit far from the city center and involves a bit of uphill (that I only minded because I was walking there with all my luggage)

Superb, friendly, comfy and great value.

Pros: Lovely breakfast every day - fresh coffee, bread and eggs, plus fruit salad and juice - we loved it! Also, Zuzana is a wonderful host, she made our stay relaxing and enjoyable and was very helpful when our son was sick.

Cons: Shower was ok, but could have hotter water.
