Qolmay Hostel Cusco

Pros: The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. They stayed up late to let us in and gave us lots of good advice. We were also able to keep our belongings in the luggage storage for a couple of days whilst we were away at Machu Picchu. All belongings were kept safely. Good value for money.

Cons: Not applicable

Pros: Very clean. Nice staff always available to help and quick to fix if there is any issue.

Cons: A bit noise in the morning. It looks like there is a school next door with kids playing games in the morning.

Lovely people, great location

Pros: The staff were amazing, you are effectively living alongside the several generations of family so there is always someone to help. They are very friendly and will go the extra step to help. They even have laundry and cleaning services. The location is excellent being close to the centre and tours will come pick you up. You also cant really argue for the price, super cheap. The room is a great size and has a private bathroom.

Cons: I was there in June which is winter so the house was quite cold and there isnt heating. They give lots of blankets so its not too bad when sleeping but definitely bring lots of warm clothes and slippers if you have the room. The hot water is also temperamental. There is also a school next door so you might hear the kids cheering and music in the mornings.

Pros: Fantastic place to stay close to San Pedro market. Extremely good value for money. Half the price of the previous place I was staying and a much better room with lots of space and netflix on the TV!

Pros: This elderly lady at the hostel who runs the operation is amazing.. very prompt and helpful .. room was clean and neat.. was a comfortable sleep

Nice and quiet stay with helpful people

Pros: The people at the accommodation are really nice, helping with all inquiries. Even though they only speak Spanish, we could solve everything and could even store our luggage for some days during our trek. The hostel is located in a quiet surrounding but still only 10 minutes walking to the main places.

Cons: Communication only in Spanish but that still works with translations

Pros: I really enjoyed my stay at Qolmay -- especially because it's located a bit further from the city center (just a short walk to San Pedro market) and therefore a bit quieter and less busy. :)

Pros: Clean, spacious rooms. Hot shower. Very friendly personnel.

Cons: They wanted us to pay a 15% commission on top of the advertised price, because that is what they have to pay to the booking platform. We refused to pay the commission because that is not how the system works. This encounter made the remainder of our stay uncomfortable.

Pros: Superb host, very friendly and helpful even when getting sick! :)

Pros: Great location, close to the city center. The room was clean and comfortable. The wifi speed was more than enough. We appreciate the hot water available at the reception.
