Incredible for adventure seekers that also appropriate comfort and good guides

Pros: Service was 20/10. Extremely capable guides for the most part, everyone is extremely lovely and genuinely want you to have a good time. The other guests have similar people - chill people who love adventure

Cons: Food could use more local ingredients, at least meat wise (eg lamb, maybe alpaca even?). The remote team that takes care of customer service is good but no comparison to the local team.

Highly recommend staying at Explora!

Pros: Everything! Amazing guides, staff. Cocktails are amazing and food is pretty good as well! We’ve rented the bikes and gone around town and also visited Machu Picchu for a day.

Pros: Exceptional location, modern architecture to complement it, incredibly good service from the most wonderful personnel.

Pros: Everything about this hotel is pure luxury. The attention to detail is immaculate. It exceeded all of our expectations. The staff are so attentive and friendly. The food is outstanding. The spa area is like a French château with beautiful rooms and doors. The scenery around the hotel is magic.

An Andean delight - best hotel in Peru

Pros: Incredible hotel nestled deep in the heart of Sacred Valley. Everything was top notch, including the explorations and gastronomy. Each meal was perfect and we loved learning about the ingredients from our wait staff. We had a lovely Pachamanca dinner on the final night and got to meet chef Manuel. All the staff were very friendly and we enjoyed our days doing small explorations and resting in our beautiful lodge. This was a perfect place to chill after all the traveling we did in Peru - thank you team Explora... we will be back!

A wonderful place to stay for food lovers and intentional travellers!

Pros: The proactive care taken by the staff at Explora to organise a smooth arrival and departure, as well as the constant check-in and courtesy, the beauty of the site, the comfort of the beds, the sate room to details and room set up for the night, the spa (perfect to relax after a day adventuring), the experiences offered, the books about Peru in the lounge area, the awesome guide. The food!! All was fantastic!

It is a very nice hotel in general. The hotel proposal (all inclusive, with tours,...) is great.

Pros: All the meals were great. Excellent breakfast. Very good rooms, beautiful views and very confortble.

Cons: There are very nice tours that we can do in Sagred valley. A lot of them are beautiful. The hotel guides are very nice but not all of them know exactly what are they doing. I felt sometimes that they could know better the way and how hard the tours are. One day they put us in a very hard tour, I would even say an expert level, it seems the guide that suggested it to us didn't understood me at all and made a bad evaluation of how hard the tour can be. I left an evaluation at the front desk imagining someone would contact me, for at least ask us an excuse for what happened to us, but by now, nobody did it. It's a shame because they seemed to care about the guests. Other point is that almost all of the tours are about 1 hour from the hotel but the guides try to make us feel better telling us all the local history during the trips.

A magnificent hiking experience with excellent staff and service

Pros: The property is an architectural delight as are the rooms. The staff especially the guides and bar staff were exceptional both in service and character. The ethos of Explora is to explore and our hiking / car based trips certainly lived up to our expectations.

Cons: The food menu is created by an exalted Peruvian Chef yet the food, although at times excellent, a lot of the times disappointed/was too similar/rich. Perhaps our expectations set our benchmark to high. Another consideration is a service tip is ‘suggested’ on departure which I would have presumed been covered in the all inclusive cost: due to the excellent service we of course paid. Note: lunch is not included on your last day even though you could do a morning activity and leave at 3pm: I think a nice touch would be to include the bar menu for those staying later.

Wonderful memory

Pros: I am honored to be the first bed & breakfast guest of the hotel. of who is rarely leave reviews online. but As the first honored guest, and for such a guest who travels alone around the world and is somewhat perfectionist, but still I must give a perfect 10 Thank you to all your colleagues for their concern and excellent service, especially all the waiters in the restaurant , thanks General Manager Diego. Everything was perfect during the five days there. Due to severe altitude sickness on the first and second days, everyone Everyone cares about me, here I send my great appreciation for you are all 🙏🏽❗️🫂

Cons: The room heating system is not inadequate for me, if there have a small gym with a running machine, will be even more perfect

Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Pros: Wir haben uns in der Unterkunft rundum wohlgefühlt – vom ersten Moment an war alles perfekt organisiert und sehr herzlich. Jeder Wunsch wurde uns erfüllt, und das Personal war jederzeit äußerst freundlich, aufmerksam und hilfsbereit. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir die hervorragende Küche: die Gerichte waren abwechslungsreich, frisch zubereitet und auf sehr hohem Niveau – ein echter Genuss nach einem Tag in den Bergen. Auch die Organisation der Aktivitäten war ausgezeichnet. Wir haben mehrere Bergtouren unternommen, und alle Guides sprachen sehr gutes Englisch, waren bestens geschult und verfügten über ein großes Wissen über die Region, Natur und Kultur. Dank ihrer Professionalität und sympathischen Art haben wir uns bei allen Touren sicher und bestens betreut gefühlt. Insgesamt war es ein rundum gelungener Aufenthalt, den wir uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen können!

Cons: Nichts
