Spirit Of The River Lodge

Pros: The place is stunningly beautiful, right on the banks of the Urubamba River. It’s very peaceful and quiet, with a charming, beautifully designed room overlooking the river. Very comfor table bed. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive. The owners also helped us with everything we needed, including arranging an ATV tour in the Sacred Valley and a taxi to the zipline. We truly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this place.

Beautiful setting, peaceful and very comfortable

Pros: This is a simply beautiful spot - the garden, river views, the mountains. I found it extremley tranquil and it was my favourite place to stay in Peru. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating. The room was spacious, had a really comfy bed, and a lovely view. I chose optional extra to use the sauna and it has a stunning river view. I would come again!

Lovely location

Pros: The owners of the Spirit of the river lodge were absolutely lovely! We had a great time and a fantastic massage (great value!). The location is really wonderful for some quiet relaxing time. Sitting on the bench by the river is a mesmerizing experience. The breakfast was delicious with fresh juice and fresh fruit. Additionally, they allowed us to store our luggage there for a few hours after checking out.

Cons: It was absolutely great - if we had something to add it would be a missing hair dryer. It is also a bit difficult to get to the next town but that is probably also due to our lack of Spanish.

Amazing

Pros: Amazing Property, so kind and helpful host. Tasty food and excellent location. Owner went extra mile to make my birthday day special

Pros: Beautiful location, lovely garden and public facilities around the estate. Everything is built with the natural materials around the site. The family is also lovely and super helpful

Cons: Nothing to do with the property but it’s worth noting that there are plenty of little flies around from the river. Part of being within nature!

An oasis in the middle of the desert

Pros: This hotel is a real hidden gem. The access is a bit tricky through country roads, but once you arrive and the gates open, it truly feels like paradise. The rooms are spacious and the service is excellent. On top of that, the hotel is located right next to sacred valley river where you can chill. And if you love animals, you’ll be delighted !! There are dogs, cat, rabbit, chickens, guinea pigs, and even a Lama !

Soul stay

Pros: - the hosts were very warm - in nature, we could hear the sound of the river - home made dinner - was exactly what we needed after having been travelling for a while - close to the town - there is a lama that likes to cuddle (and dogs too) - bedroom is really comfortable and decorated with taste - good breakfast

A riverside paradise

Pros: The property was absolutely beautiful, the rooms were so comfortable and the views spectacular. Claudia was the most wonderful and kind host, with the best recommendations and delicious food. Their llama Tupac and dog Max were amazing, and we loved every moment we spent there. We will definitely come back, and are so grateful for their hospitality.

Cons: Nothing ! Everything was amazing.

Sacred Valey Treasure

Pros: This Lodge is situated right next to the river in a very tranquil and peaceful environment. Claudia and Rudi are great hosts and very helpful. It's definitely worth a shot when travelling through the Sacred Valley.
