Casa Samaykuy

Perfect place to stay!

Pros: We loved Casa Samaykuy! We stayed for one week in a family suite which had a small kitchen area and a separate bedroom. It was well equipped and very clean. The hostal was close to a few restaurants but it was very easy to get a taxi to the centre of Ayacucho or walk up (about 30 minutes). Breakfast was freshly made every morning and served on the terrace with views of the city. We would definitely stay here again! The family who run it are so friendly and helpful!

Cons: Everything was excellent.

Great quiet location with good amenities nearby and easy to get to the plaza.

Pros: Location was good, not central which means it is very quiet and peaceful. Our room had a kitchenette so that was great. It was very clean and a good breakfast available. Will definitely come again if in Ayacucho.

Cons: Nothing.

Pros: Very nice hotel in Ayacucho and great value. I stayed for five nights at the start of a bikepacking trip. Pilar was a great host and was very helpful as a fellow cyclist. The room had everything I needed and the kitchenette was great for making breakfast. WiFi was fast enough to do work. It was a bit of a walk from the centre, but it was easy and cheap to hop a bus nearby (just make sure you go the right way). While it's not in the historic centre, the neighbourhood was very peaceful and there was some good restaurants nearby. Update: Pilar offered to ship a bag of extra clothes and things to my final destination of Arequipa. I'm happy to say it showed up as promised. This made my life much easier and it shows Pilar's dedication to her guests. Upgraded to a 10 for that.

Cons: It was a little noisy, especially with the dogs running up and down the metal stairs.

Cozy Stay with Personal Kitchen

Pros: The rooms were great and came with a personal kitchen equipped with everything we needed, including utensils. It was very convenient to cook our own meals. They also clean the rooms when you leave, which is a nice touch. Overall, a very comfortable stay!

Cons: The only thing I didn’t like was that they don’t ask for permission before entering your room to clean it in your absence.

Pros: The staff was very kind and helpful. The room had a kitchenette to cook and the bed was comfy. Breakfast was good too.

Cons: It is a good half hour walk to the centre.

calm, relaxing and homely

Pros: lovely owners and staff, super comfortable, convenient location. good breakfast

Cons: nothing. it was all amazing

Pros: Throughout my journey in Peru I didn't find many (more close to none) places like this. For me it was like finding a gem. I was able to relax and gain the energy for upcoming travels here and that also thanks to nice and very kind personnel. Some people are complaining about the dog Benji, but when I was there, it was way calmer then it usually is in Peru. And the price vs. quality ratio is very good. If the wind will blow me to these parts of the Peru again, I'll know where to go feel good and welcomed.

Lovely and comfortable stay

Pros: Really comfortable and clean. For the price you pay this is very luxe. Loved the bed and the space, nice that you could sit outside as well. The hosts were very helpful and kind.

Pros: The staff were professional, kind, helpful and very interesting.

Cons: The only w things was firstly it was a bit difficult to get to with bags but with taxi no problem and cheap..10 soles from bus station.. and 2 a lot of dog barking in the night kept me awake ( but I did have window wide open)

Good place to stay

Pros: Nice apartment with a well equipped kitchen and a small, lovely terrace and a perfect hot shower

Cons: The Internet was partly super slow
