A great place to stay in Pucusana!

Pros: Cruz del Sur was as advertised, a lovely room and very well kept. The hosts were very nice and helpful, and breakfasts were very good. It's a bit of a trek up to the hotel, but Calle arranged parking for my car and transportation up the hill with my luggage. The reward is a great view of town and a very enjoyable place to stay!

Excellent Stay. Highly Recommend!

Pros: Everything. It was a pleasant stay. My room was very comfortable and lovely. The view from the balcony was nice. I love Luna (the dog at the property); so cute! The cats there were lovely, too. Breakfast was good. I had fruits, bread, yogurt, hot chocolate, tea and more. The location is good despite the steep road on the way to the property. Even though the area might seem unsafe, I wasn't worried about walking up the hill even at night. It's a relaxed and quiet area.

Cons: There are a lot of dog and cat poops everywhere on the road in Pucusana, unfortunately. I recommend carrying a small headlight when walking in the dark.

Cons: Perhaps the bed linen and the bathroom may need some improvement.

Pros: The host Calle was very friendly and helpful. He organised the transfer (included in the price of the stay) from the parking garage to the accommodation at the top of the rather steep hill. He arranged a boat tour for us with a safe and reliable operator, around the harbour and island. Great for seabirds, including penguins, sea lions and other wildlife - highly recommended.

Pros: We had a fantastic stay! The host was extremely friendly and accommodating, making us feel very welcome. The WiFi was excellent, and Pucusana is a charming little fishing town. The nearby beach is great for surfing, even for beginners, with surf schools available. The host even organized transport for us. Breakfast was delicious, and this was by far the cleanest room we've had during our trip through Peru. Highly recommended!

A relaxing stay in Pucusana

Pros: We liked that it was a traditional fishing community far from the hustle and bustle of the city. Calle went above and beyond to help us plan our stay including the boat ride and viewing the local wildlife e.g. penguins, pelicans and sealions.

Pros: We came to Pucusana for diving and had one of our best dives ever! We could swim along sea lions and a lot of other wildlife underwater. The apartment itself was beautiful as well. The couple is so welcoming and try everything to make you feel the most comfortable 😊 Also the view from the terrace was incredible! We would definitely love to come back! See you soon 😊
