Flying Dog Lima B&B

Pros: Location on Parque Kennedy with all the kitties and lively neighborhood. Supermarket around the corner and Malecón nearby. The bathroom in the female dorm was really convenient.

Cons: They don't give a key for the room so it is always an open door, which is not great. The ladies I happened to share the room with had no idea there are other humans on the planet, so I could not sleep for my time there. That is the luck of the hostels though, you never know who you get

Good value for money and worth it for the great location.

Pros: Great location right next to the park and plenty of good food options. clean room and bathroom. Extremely helpful staff who were really lovely!

Cons: A bit loud at times and smallish room (but we knew that when we booked)

Pros: Excellent, easy to find location. Right opposite a very cool park with lots of eating options, and a supermarket nearby. The staff were very nice. My hostel room was full so they upgraded me to a single room. It was very small, but after a very long day of flights, I was very happy to have my own space. The shared bathroom was basic, but fine. The shared areas of the hostel were bright and cheerful. The bus to the airport, and the hop on hop off buses leave from the other side of the park which was very convenient to me. I walked down to the waterfront in about 10 minutes and felt very safe.

Safe place for a quick stopover in Lima

Pros: Located in a nice location in Miraflores with many restaurants, mini market and cafes close by. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Not a lot of space in the room but good for a stopover. 24 hour reception and security door at entrance made the property feel very secure.

Cons: Only 1 toilet/shower to share between about 10 rooms which meant a big wait for the toilet in the morning and shower was cold on the night of arrival. A bit of noise coming from adjacent buildings/floor above at nighttime. Complimentary breakfast only served from 8:30am at cafe downstairs and we missed it due to a departure at that time. They use a bad conversion rate so ended up paying about $10USD more than advertised on booking.com (just to be aware for the more budget backpacker).

Well-located

Pros: This hostel is well-located. It is close to the airport express. There are a lot of restaurants, shopping malls and a supermarket nearby. The hostel itself looks a bit old but I like the common area which has a lot of activity to do. The toilet is clean and plenty. The staff are helpful and friendly. The kitchen has all the basic stuff. You can leave your luggage and hang around the hostel while waiting for a flight or bus as well .

Cons: The guests didn't have a key for the main gate so, we needed to ring the bell. It would be fine if I could not hear it . Unfortunately, I can hear people ring the bell even on. 2 am . It is disturbed my sleeping . The roommate started talking in the early morning It was fine but I am not ok with the worker (I guess they are house maid) kept coming to the room and talking or checking the customer if the guests already checked out (because they want to clean the room but it is still 8-9 am!!. It was not check out time yet ) they also leave the door open so, I could hear all guests talking outside. That's annoying.

overall an enjoyable stay with friendly staff and great location

Pros: the location is good, there are plenty of restaurants and supermarkets nearby. it's also within walking distance to the popular indian market and inca market. park kennedy is right next to the hostel, so we got to see the local lifestyle and even play with the cats there. the staffs were friendly and approachable. when i mentioned that my room needed cleaning, they took care of it quickly. really appreciated their help.

Cons: the bathroom is very well ventilated, which unfortunately means that even with the window closed, cold air still comes in. it got quite chilly when showering at night. additionally, the water temperature wasn't very stable, the hot water would occasionally turn cold during the shower.

Great location, great staff, great value for money

Cons: A bit noisy at night because of the lively neighborhood - but fine with earplugs
