Ace hostel with a great kitchen

Pros: The volunteers were really friendly and great company. Ace kitchen with plenty of space and very clean. Nice rooftop to hang out in and the private rooms are lovely.

Cons: The second time we stayed we were on a different floor and the shared bathroom smelt of drains. The downstairs area is quite dark and it's a little bit hard to find - a bigger sign might help.

Highly recommended.

Pros: A really cosy place in a great location. It’s an easy (not uphill) five-minute walk from Plaza de Armas but just far away enough to feel peaceful. I only initially booked for one night but stayed a further three nights after returning from Machu Picchu. There’s a good kitchen, free tea, luggage storage; all the basics that you’d want from a hostel and everything is kept clean. Milla and Olivia were really lovely. I don’t speak Spanish and so I was unable to talk with them without a translation app but it was a pleasure just to see their smiling faces whenever I returned. I will definitely stay here again if I ever return to Cusco.

Cons: The walls are quite thin, and if you’re next to the bathroom you’ll hear a lot of noises that you’d probably prefer not to. There was frequently no staff around in the mornings, and so checking out (and getting the security deposit returned) was troublesome.

Affordable, ideally located

Pros: We stayed here twice in different rooms - before and after our trek to Machu Picchu. The staff were really friendly and helpful, allowing us to store our bags for 5 days for free. Rooms were clean and views were nice

Cons: Quite noisy at times as the walls aren’t too thick, can hear people going back and forth to the bathroom and leaving for early tours but is to be expected in a hostel.

Pros: Nice clean and cozy Good sized room with enough blankets to keep warm. Budget friendly stay. Shared bathroom was clean. Warm water and kitchen to make a cuppa.

Cons: Nothing.

Amazing value for money, atmosphere and staff member

Pros: I have given this a high score? May need you to the receptionist on called Donald, he was amazing and so helpful. Everything was fine in the hostel. We were in the very top on the roof part. The only thing was my bed was sloping a little to one side.

Cons: My bed wasn't very comfortable and was slipping to one side

Great hostel and great value for money

Pros: Great location of the hostel. The volunteers there were so lovely and they had a kitchen which had most of the basic utensils to cook. I also appreciated that they let me leave my bag for a few days whilst I did Machu Picchu, and they didn’t charge me as I was returning to stay there. The rooftop had a really nice view and places to sit and do cowork.

Cons: during the night there was no water, and this happened all round the city but it would have been nice to have some water in the hostel to brush teeth etc. It wasn’t very sociable, felt more like a family hostel than a solo / backpackers hostel but i made friends with the volunteers and there are lots of party hostels nearby to go if you enjoy a night out.

Pros: I had a wonderful stay in this hostel. They upgraded me to a single room upon arrival and I decided to stay an additional night in the same room. The location is fantastic being it close to the railway station and the market and a walking distance from the main piazza. Staff were amazing and helpful and I will choose it again should I go back to Cusco.
