Very lovely family run huts in gorgeous mountain setting

Pros: Very cute quaint setting, did take a while for us to find because on the map it isn’t shown where it’s located but after asking some locals we found our way! Lots of warm blankets in hut and very lovely setting with chickens and a very friendly dog 🐕 Staff super lovely and helpful too 😊

Cons: We got very cold at night because there was no heating, electricity turned off between 22:00-06:00 so devices stopped charging and couldn’t turn lights on

Pros: Great place to stay! Location is perfect for the start of the Salkantay walk and the hike up to Humantay Lake. The place is run by a lovely family who made us an amazing dinner and breakfast. The cabins were really cosy and warm overnight. Highly recommend!

Pros: The cabins are super cute, loads of blankets to keep you warm at night. The family who run it are so kind and caring, they even helped us fix our broken walking pole. Food was great too but it’s extra on top, making it quite expensive compared to other places we stayed on Salkantay trek overall but also maybe that’s just the village in general.

Cons: The price is not what it seems on booking.com we ended up paying quite a bit more and it was hard to sort out because the lovely couple who run it aren’t the owners so they’re just collecting the money so it’s not really their fault :( Just expect to pay an extra 10-15 US dollars + food on top of the price.

Pros: Absolutely amazing location with a stunning 360 view. The bed was the most comfortable we had in Peru and although very basic it has huge character! Alex and Nayde have been fantastic looking after us! Highly recommend!

Pros: Run by a really nice family. Acommodated for vegan food, which was great! Good dinner and breakfast. The cabañas are really cozy.

Cons: Didn't have electricity and warm water for most of the night due to a big thunderstorm, which was unfortunate but is to be expected in such remote locations! Beware: the location is just before the main village! So if you want to go up to the lake, make sure to pass by and drop your luggage first.

Cozy, very nicely decorated cabins and delicious food

Pros: Lovely place run by a really nice young family. Truly delicious food, the best on the Salkantay, served family-style...the host is a great cook! Cabinas were very nicely decorated with lots of cozy blankets and a reading light.

Pros: The hosts were extremely welcoming and went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. Their hospitality and effort really stood out. We would definitely recommend staying here

Pros: Best food on the Salkantay Trek. They have plenty of options, also vegan or vegetarian Meals. Really nice owner. Make sure you don't miss the place. It is about 1km before Soraypampa.
