Colombia 🇨🇴

Good value but with its drawbacks.

Pros: We loved the comfy beds (both in the adult room and the bunk beds in the kids' room) and the soft bedding and pillows. We loved the big TV and my kids loved the foot heater. We enjoyed the use of the kitchen. Beautifully decorated throughout. Good wifi.

Cons: The apartment would benefit from: * sugar, salt, pepper, oil, basic spices, a stove lighter in the kitchen, soap in the bathroom * wine glasses and more cutlery and crockery. * (ideally) a washing machine. * more pillows We had problems getting the keys - this was partly our fault (it's really difficult for foreigners to get a sim card in Peru so we had to beg random strangers to hot spot so we could WhatsApp with the hosts) and partly their fault - they gave us the wrong address twice!! I think they have lots of properties and mistook us for another booking. However they did let us check in around 1030am which was handy (although check out on the last day was 10am) The shower never got 'hot'. The biggest drawback to this apartment was the noise from the corridor. In the main bedroom there is a single pane of very thin glass onto the corridor, noise and light travel very easily and, despite the comfy beds and bedding, this noise and light makes for a very disturbed night's sleep. Various residents leave/arrive at all hours and the cleaner woke us up one morning with her annoyingly loud mopping. Location was not great for either the bus station or the main sights of interest. It's a bit out of the way.
